Updated: Nov 29, 2019

Ford Field- Lumen Christi Football is going to play in 2 games this week. They are playing at Ford Field on Saturday for the division 7 State championship versus Pewamo-Westphalia at 10am. However the Lions, knowing they are going to lose anyways on Thanksgiving, decided to give the team an opportunity of a lifetime. Martha Ford told her team on Wednesday to take Thanksgiving off, like they do every year.

When Matt Patricia was asked what he was going to do with his time off, he replied, "I am going to eat a whole lot of Turkey". He added, "Then we are getting back to the drawing board for our SuperBowl in April". Speaking of the NFL Draft, Patricia was asked about who they were eyeing for next year and he replied, "As an organization we have decided to draft a WR, we don't even care which one; however, we were even considering drafting a back-up QB in the first Round". After hearing of his plans for the draft, we interviewed Lions Fans at Nemo's Bar in Detroit and the consensuses was, like every year, that they were going to make the playoffs, possibly a run at the Superbowl in 2020-2021.

A lumen Christi player was interviewed about the opportunity and stated "I am really looking forward to playing two games this week." When asked about the relevancy of this game he stated, "The Lay-downs, I mean Lions, have been irrelevant for 62 years, so at least we will offer some sort of entertainment on Thanksgiving". Smart Kid, we wish Lumen the best in their busy week!
